Restocking (buying items from the Neopet shops to sell for more elsewhere), the fastest way to make millions of neopoints, in minutes (theoretically). Unfortunately it's very difficult, and getting the best items is too hard for many people to master. If there's one facet of Neopets to invest time in learning, this is it. This is how users obtain 7,000,000+ np freezing potions for under 100k. This however takes insane luck, skill, and computer speed. For purposes of this guide, we will neglect such high profile items as they are severely difficult to restock. Here are the most helpful restocking tips to help gain neopoints:

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Have a thorough knowledge of the shop before you start restocking it; wait until it restocks and PRTSC button and then look up the value of all the items so you know what is profitable.

  2. Step 2

Find shops that restock profitable items on bulk; the book shop is excellent and neocola tokens at the space weapons shop are good too.

  3. Step 3

Don't refresh the page every 2 seconds, 8-12 seconds is sufficient and slightly less tedious.

  4. Step 4

NEVER buy unless you know for certain that the item is profitable. If only one stocks and it's expensive, but you have never heard of it, the odds are it's not profitable.

  5. Step 5

Buy anything and everything in the bookshop; you very rarely lose money and it's always very minimal when you do.

  6. Step 6

Always check the News for new items. A brand new rarity 80 item will be unbuyable during its first few weeks, even though it restocks frequently. Try to get these and make sure to sell it quickly because its price will drop quickly.

  7. Step 7

Use two hands and have a good mouse that doesn't stick. Practice haggling with the number pad. An item priced at 2312 should be haggled for 2333, etc.

  8. Step 8

Even a relatively slow computer can yield good restocks. It's entirely possible to score 8-12 neocola tokens in 60 minutes. At a profit of about 6000 np per coin, that's an easy 48,000 in an hour. (Even assuming you have a very bad hour and make only 30,000, you will gain experience and still be 30,000 richer.)

  9. Step 9

Don't be shy to take items that nobody wants; they can yield small profits and many users just don't realize it. For example, Virtupets Energy Sabre sells for about 13,999 in the space weapon shop and sells for 14,500 to 15,000 on the shop wizard. A 500-1000 neopoint profit is very good for a few clicks of the mouse, and for some reason this item constantly sits in that shop for minutes on end.

  10. Step 10

When you restock a hard to sell item be patient when selling it via the trading post. For example, a Bed of Nova is listed for about 200,000, but since it's hard to sell people will offer low; don't accept unless you desperately need the money. Even if it takes a couple of weeks, squeeze every neopoint you can get out of a restocked unbuyable.

  11. Step 11

Know how much money to have on you. 50,000 will suffice in most places, but when you are in the toy shop and Monoceraptor Plushie shows up for 111,000 (worth over a million) it stings. To be safe, keep 150,000+ on you at all times.

Tips & Warnings
  • No guide is going to restock for you, or guarantee you success for that matter; practice makes perfect and the best way to learn is starting simple. I highly recommend the book shop for beginners.
  • Play Neopets at obscure hours. When less people are on less people are restocking, so you have much less competition to get an item.
