Review the safety reports for the private jet operators. There are free online databases that provide accidents and safety reports by company’s name. Make sure the jet charter you choose does not have excessive safety problems.

Evaluate the aircraft types the jet operator has available. Determine which one fits your needs and budget. Some of the plane’s attributes to look for are: size, make, model, economy, luxury, maximum capacity.

Shop online and compare prices for at least three private jet charter companies. Use the internet site Onesky.com to find multiple price quotes. This site provides access to over 2,000 approved jet companies. (See Resources for a link)

Contact each company to negotiate prices and to obtain trip discounts. Companies may offer discounts for certain number of travelers on the trip, for flying schedules and for sharing the plane with other travelers. The earlier you book the trip, the more leverage you’ll have with a jet company.
