How to Decorate a Plain Red Wagon for a Wedding
Oh the joys of wedding days. Preparations get brides-to-be all excited. Mothers wring their hands about having everything just perfect. Bridesmaids prepare to look their best, and someone has requested that the ring be born to the altar on a beautiful pillow placed in the treasured red wagon of the groom's boyhood memories. The classic radio flyer, the symbol of fun and freedom has been invited to the higher levels of formality and asked to perform the honored task of bearing the ring, or the ring bearer as the case may be.

Find out the color scheme of the wedding. The wagon will be red, but the wagon's decorations should match the bride's bouquet and her bridal party. If possible request remnants from the brides dress and leftover flowers and decorations.

You will need to decide on a theme. Will the wagon represent memories from the past? Paste pictures to clothespins and clip them to the side of the wagon. Will the wagon be a frilly and fluffy accessory to the bride? Paste flowers to the clothespins and clip them to the sides of the wagon.

Use lots of ribbon and spools of tulle to cover the wagon and its handle. You may choose to make bows or just use swags between each clothespin.

Determine what path the wagon will take. If it will be a rough ride make sure your materials and decorating are sturdy enough to withstand the abuse. If the ring bearer will ride in the wagon you will need to cushion the inside. If the ring bearer will be pulling the wagon with the ring and pillow you may want to fill up the empty space with lots of frilliness and pretties. You may use peel and stick Velcro to firmly attach all decorations.
