Use curly hair extensions for braiding. There is a certain type of hair to use for individual braids as opposed to bonded or woven extensions. This curly "braiding" hair is also sold in two types: synthetic hair (which is less expensive but cannot be washed or curled) and human hair (which can be washed and recurled without damage).

Apply curly hair extensions with bonding. Another way to use curly hair extensions is to bond them into the hair. This simply means gluing the extension to the scalp. There is special bonding glue that is needed to apply tracks this way to the hair. Bonding can get messy but is very quick to put in and lasts until the next hair wash.

Add extensions to a ponytail. If you do not want to be bothered with sticky hair glue or spending hours weaving or braiding the curly hair in, simply pin the curly hair extensions to a ponytail (to wear in a long ponytail or a bun). This is done by pulling your hair back into a ponytail and pinning the extensions (in a circular pattern) around the base of the ponytail. The thickness of the ponytail depends on the amount of hair added; for a fuller and thicker ponytail, add more extensions.

4
Clip the extensions into your hair. To add more volume or length without lots of hassle, clip-in extensions are becoming increasingly popular. The hair is precurled and already glued to a clip-in comb. All you have to do is clip the hair in the desired places.

Weave in the curly hair extensions. There are several different methods to weave in hair extensions by sewing the extensions to your own hair. Most often, this is done by cornrowing your hair and sewing the extensions on top of the cornrows with a needle and thread.

6
Wear a curly wig. This is a no-fuss way to wear curly extensions. Simply purchase a full or half wig and wear it over your hair.

Tips & Warnings
Purchase curly hair extensions that are identical to your own hair color and texture. If your hair color is auburn, you wouldn't want to purchase jet black extensions.
Most curly hair extensions (especially the ones made from synthetic hair) will tangle and, once wet, will not have their original curl. To avoid frizz and tangles, be sure to keep the hair dry at all times.
