How to Change Autofill

Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox browsers come with an auto fill or auto complete option. Auto fill detects form fields on Internet web pages and will automatically fill out forms using saved information. The information includes things like first and last name, address, phone number and billing and shipping information. The stored auto fill information can be changed using a few simple steps.

Instructions

Internet Explorer

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Click "Tools" on the main menu bar and choose "Internet Options." Click the "General" tab and choose "Delete" from the Browsing History section.

3. Click "Delete Forms." Choose "Yes" to delete all stored information. Click "OK." The next time you fill out a form, Internet Explorer will ask you if you would like to save the new data. Click "Yes" and auto fill will use this information for future forms.

4. Click "Tools" and choose "Internet Options" to disable the auto fill program. Click the "Content" tab and choose "Settings" in the AutoComplete section. Uncheck the boxes for the auto fill features that you would like to disable such as form fields, user names or passwords. Click "OK" to save your settings.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open a Firefox browser window.

2. Click "Tools" on the main menu bar and choose "Form Manager." Select "Edit Info" from the drop-down menu.

3. Click "Primary Contact Information" in the left-hand pane to edit basic user information. Choose "Name" to change user name. Choose "Address" to make address modifications. Click "Phone Number" or "Credit Card" to change this information. Click "OK" to save your changes.

4. Click "Shipping Information" in the left-hand menu pane to change shipping name and address. Check the box to use primary billing information as your shipping information. Click "OK" to save your changes.

5. Click "Billing Information" in the left-hand menu pane to change billing name and address. Check the box to use primary contact information as your billing information. Click "OK" to save to save your changes.

6. Click "Remove All Saved Data" to delete all of the auto fill information and disable the auto fill program.
