An encrypted web page uses data randomization to prevent third-parties from intercepting the data while sending it from the server to your browser. Encrypted web pages are typically used on bank websites and other pages that display sensitive personal information. Once the data is displayed in the browser, you can print it without needing decryption software.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Launch your web browser and navigate to the encrypted web page. Usually, these pages start with the prefix, "https://". You may need to enter a password or user name to view the secured data (for example, your online bank account). Wait for the page to fully load.

  2. Step 2

Ensure that your browser displays a lock-shaped symbol in its top menu bar. This signifies that the page is encrypted.

  3. Step 3

Click "File" in the top menu bar and select "Print." Your browser will then print the encrypted web page.

Tips & Warnings
  • While encrypting data prevents it from being hacked while being sent to your computer, encryption does not prevent printing once you have loaded the page.
