Step 1
From the Start menu click on "Run." This opens a Run window.

Locate the text box in the "Run" window; in it, type "CMD." Click the "OK" button. This opens a command prompt window.

In the command prompt window, type the following, including the spaces and quotation marks exactly as they appear. Replace ADMINNAME with the actual name of the administrator account whose password you want to change and PASSWORD with the new password you have chosen:
runas /user:ADMINNAME "net user ADMINNAME PASSWORD" -
Step 4
Carefully enter the current password for the administrator account whose password you want to change following the "Enter the password for" prompt, then click "Enter." The password will not be displayed as you type it, nor will the cursor appear to move as you type.

Step 5
A second command prompt window will open briefly and then close, and the administrator account password will be changed. Close the command prompt window to complete the process.
