      Purchase a high-quality coconut oil. Look for an organic oil that does not contain preservatives or other chemicals that could be toxic. Coconut oil can be found in the health food section at many supermarkets.

      Substitute coconut oil for other oils you would cook with. Use coconut oil instead of butter, canola oil, olive oil or any other oil. Use the oil on a one-for-one basis. If you were planning to use 1 tbsp. olive oil, use 1 tbsp. coconut oil instead.
