Things You'll Need:
- Empty Paint Cans
- Letter stickers
-
Step 1
Empty Paint Cans are sold at Hardware Stores. They come in gallon and pint sizes (at my local stores, your store may have more varity.)
I paid $4 for each gallon size.
The paint cans are empty and clean. I had to wipe some dust off of them, but that was all! -
Step 2
I used mailbox letter stickers as well as other scrapbooking stickers I had on hand to label each paint bucket.
Scrapbooking stickers will not be as durable, and if your son is going to have the buckets at his level to get in and out of as he pleases I would recommend using just mailbox letters as they are much more durable. -
Step 3
Decide on what contents you would like to be in each bin. Some ideas are:
Pencils, stickers, matchbox cars, playdough, Mr. Potato Head pieces, flashlights and legos. The only limit is the size of the bucket.
You could even use them to hold socks and underwear! -
Step 4
Once all your buckets are labeled and filled it's time to display them! Right now ours are sitting on a shelf, but I think they would look fabulous sitting on a ladder, or hanging on hooks off the wall.
