Things You'll Need:
- Several flea collars
- Vacuum Cleaner
-
Step 1
Locate the room that you have fleas in your carpet. Hopefully, it’s not all the carpets in your home.
-
Step 2
Purchase a cat flea collar or a dog flea collar.
-
Step 3
Open the flea collar and tug on both ends. This will release the flea powder that is in the flea collar.
-
Step 4
Place the flea collar inside the dirt or dust receiver on your vacuum cleaner.
-
Step 5
Vacuum your carpeting with a fast sweeping motion.
-
Step 6
Repeat again, vacuuming your carpet with a slow sweeping motion.
-
Step 7
Set your vacuum cleaner outside and repeat vacuum again 24 hours later.
-
Step 8
Remove the canister or compartment that holds the dirt and dust. Empty into an appropriate waste receptacle and place in your outside trash can.
