How to Reuse Empty Prescription Bottles for Gag Gifts
There isn't much use for an empty prescription bottle, unless you put some thought into how to turn it into a project. They can be turned into coin holders, a place to store buttons, hair pins and seeds, or art projects. A time-honored tradition is to make up a new label and send the bottle to someone with a sense of humor as a gag. It's not tough to do, but the label must clearly be a joke so no one confuses it with the real thing.

Clean the bottle in hot, soapy water with the label attached. The bottle must be cleaned of any trace of the medicine, and the water should make the label easier to remove.

Write the name of the "patient," the purpose of the alleged pills, and how often they should be taken on a self-adhesive label. Attach the label to the bottle. Use transparent tape to attach the label if it is not self-adhesive.
