Things You'll Need:
- Screwdriver
- Wire stripper
- Electrical tape
-
Step 1
Remove the mounting screws. Accomplish this by using the screwdriver to remove the mounting screws holding the old license plate frame onto the bumper of the car.
-
Step 2
Line up the mounting holes between your frame and the bumper. Do this by lining them up with the mounting holes on your bumper and then screw the mounting bolts into bumper tightly.
-
Step 3
Pop the trunk and locate the tail light wires. Use the wire strippers to strip a part of the red wire down to bare wiring. Wrap the end of the red wire on the license plate frame around the bare taillight wire and then securely wrap with electrical tape.
-
Step 4
Use the provided metal screw to screw the black ground wire of the license plate frame into a part of the metal trunk lid. If connected properly, whenever the rear lights are turned on the license plate frame will light up.
