How to Eject a CD From a PowerMac G4

      Make sure there are no applications using the CD in the disk drive. If there is an application using it, close the application.

      Press the eject button on your keyboard, which will promptly eject the CD.

      If Step 2 doesn't work, drag the disc icon on the desktop to the trash icon on the desktop.

      If Step 3 doesn't work, shut down the computer.

      After the computer is shut down, pull down the cover of the drive tray and find the emergency eject hole.

      Straighten a paper clip and use it to press the emergency eject hole. Then, pull out the tray, take the CD out of the drive and put the tray back into its place.
