Employee surveys can boost morale by letting workers know that management is listening to their concerns and that the company values their input. When the suggestions from the survey are translated into new company policies, employees will be empowered by knowing that they are a valuable part of the management and administration process.

  1. Step 1

Give employees a chance to voice their opinions. Multiple choice surveys are a good choice if you are interested in seeing quantifiable results, but it is also important to give employees a chance to provide written explanations of their experiences.

  2. Step 2

Ask for suggestions. On each survey, give employees a space to write out specific suggestions and cover topics that weren't covered in other areas of the questionnaire. An important part of boosting morale is letting individuals share their unique perspectives.

  3. Step 3

Show the employees the results of the survey. Publishing the results of the survey can help boost employee morale by demonstrating that someone has read and understood their feedback. It may also be value to follow up the results with a written plan of action based on the survey results.

  4. Step 4

Base policy decisions on the survey results. The best way to boost employee morale is to implement suggestions based on the employment survey. This will show employees that they can make a direct, noticeable difference in the workplace.

  5. Step 5

Make surveys an ongoing part of company management. You can get a better picture of company morale and the positive effects of employee feedback by asking for workers' suggestions at regular intervals.
