Twitter is a social networking venue where you can meet people all over the world through the Internet. A site called "TweetBeep" will send you alerts when certain key words come up on the network so you can follow up. This helps you search similar oriented followers and keeps your twitter tribe with like minded people.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • List of key words you want to receive alerts on
  1. Step 1

Tweetbeep is a free service to help you follow people with similar interests or follow a concept being discussed. This will aid in not having to spend hours over a specific search. TweetBeep does it for you. It's easy
Log into http://tweetbeep.com and create a new account with a screen name and pass word.

  2. Step 2

Follow the screen and fill in the key words you would like to receive alerts on.
Name your alert then select from the following choices:
    All of these words
    This exact phrase
    Any of these words
    None of these words
    # (hashtag) which listed before a set of initials or phrases lets you search all tweets about on that specific topic.

  3. Step 3

Determine if you would like to have your alerts sent once an hour or once a day to your e-mail account. This is really similar to a google search of key words but on Twitter.

  4. Step 4

Identify the key words you would like to have alerts for. As an example, if you write cooking articles, enter key words like: cooking, recipes, low calorie food, breakfast, lunch, dinner, chef. You decide what words you would like to find more information on. If you are a Realtor you might like to search for tweets which contain, buy a house, Realtor, looking for a home, want to buy a house, sell my house, sell house.

  5. Step 5

Once you get the twitter posts you can run your cursor over the Tweeters name and read the profile summary and decide if you would like to follow that person and have them become part of your Twitter Tribe and receive their posts every day. Just click follow and you will receive all their tweets. You can increase your followers by following tweeters with similar interests. Hopefully, they will follow you back. You can also contact the tweeter if they are needing help and you can possibly provide it.

  6. Step 6

To keep tabs on damage control for your company, search for your company name or your name to see if people are twittering about you or your company.
TweetBeep can be one of your best friends in social networking. It is a tool which saves you time and can make you money. This power tool makes using Twitter more flexible and more fun.
