Make a Profit at Home
Make a Profit at Home

Think you can’t make a profit at home, just because you’re stuck inside all day with the kids? Well, think again! There are tons of ways to make money from home, if you just look for them!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Connection
  • Computer
  1. Step 1

Make a list of your skills & hobbies. Can you type really fast? Can you write well? Are you really good at customer service? Do you know a lot about computers? Can you sew? Once you have taken stock of your strengths, it’s time to look around for jobs that will utilize those strengths. If you are willing to expend the effort to look for them, you can find jobs that will help you make a profit at home.

  2. Step 2

Search online sites such as wahm.com for legitimate telecommuting jobs. Ask other moms what their experience was with companies you want to apply to. There are many leads out there, if you are willing to apply yourself, and do the research. There are lots of other moms out there who make a profit at home, and with a little networking, you can do the same.

  3. Step 3

Update your skills, if necessary, to get the job you want. If you want a job that requires a certain typing speed, practice until you can type that fast. If there is a job you want to apply for that requires excellent grammar, read some online grammar lessons. There are tutorials available on the Internet for virtually everything known to man, so arm yourself with knowledge and go get that experience, so you can make a profit at home!

Tips & Warnings
  • Some legitimate sites to write for are textbroker, demand studios, and, of course, eHow. These sites pay up front, or per-click revenue. Any money you make for writing is pure profit, so this is a great way to make a profit at home.
  • Legitimate telecommuting opportunities include KeyForCash, and BabyToBee
  • Don’t EVER pay to work for someone. If the company requires you to pay a fee to apply, don’t apply. There are a few exceptions for companies that require a background check, but for the most part, this is a hard and fast rule if you want to make a profit at home.
