Tired of the background on your desktop? Well, change that wallpaper. Did you know you could use just about any picture stored on your computer for background on your desktop? It's easy to change the background to a family members picture, or celebrity.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Desktop Wallpaper
  1. Step 1

    First to change the desk top wallpaper click on the desktop. Click properties which should bring up the display properties dialog box.

  2. Step 2

    Now, click the desktop button on the dialog box. There should be a list of
    backgrounds displayed in the box. Scroll through the list and select a new wallpaper or background to display on the desktop.

  3. Step 3

    Play around with the different images and select the one that you like the best. If you can not find a suitable image to display on the desktop don't get discouraged. Hit the browse button on the dialog box to find another image you have on the computer hard drive. Add the image to the background files. The new file should be set as the new wallpaper. Click apply and then OK.

  4. Step 4

    Enjoy the new wallpaper. Now when the need arises to change the wallpaper on the computer it will be easy!

  5. Step 5

    See an image on the Internet that would look kind of cool as a wallpaper
    on the computer. Simply right click the image and set as background in the pop up display menu. Later on if you decide to change back. Simply go into the Display Properties and select the previous wallpaper.
    Apply and click OK.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the new wallpaper is too small simply use the provided position button to stretch the image to fit the computer screen.
