For the experienced player, switching from Jacks or Better to Deuces Wild video poker is a little bit of work. The strategy chart is much longer but in reality, it's not that hard to learn. However, with a bit of practice you can learn to play Deuces Wild video poker and enjoy your play at the casino more.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get video poker training software that includes Deuces Wild video poker.

Most video poker software already have Deuces Wild, so you should be good if you used software to learn Jacks or Better.

If you're not already familiar with video poker software, it teaches you how to play video poker by letting you know when you make mistakes and tells you what is the right move. With enough practice, you'll internalize the strategy chart over time.

You can practice Deuces Wild video poker at almost any online casino with play money but only video poker software will tell you when you made a mistake. Online casinos won't help correct your mistakes while you're playing.

  2. Step 2

In Deuces Wild video poker, you're keeping cards that will help form any combination hand. A deuce can be substituted for any other card in the deck. You don't need to tell the machine what card you want the deuce to represent. The machine will always pick the most optimal card.

For example, if you have four to a straight with a missing card in the middle, you want to keep that because a deuce will give you the straight.

Always keep pairs. But don't forget that a Jack or better pair doesn't pay anything in Deuces Wild. Nevertheless, pairs are great because deuces can help make it a 3 of a kind, 4 of a kind, or even a 5 of a kind.

Don't forget using deuces to make a wild royal flush. It is a very good paying hand, so you should always try for it, even if it means throwing away a paying straight.

  3. Step 3

When you have two or more deuces, you should always throw away non-deuce cards unless you have four to a wild royal flush. As mentioned before, a wild royal pays very well in deuces wild video poker.

  4. Step 4
    Dealt 4 aces with a 2/3/4 kicker on a 100 play $1 video poker for a $400,000 jackpot!

For added fun, try 10-play, 25-play, or 50-play deuces wild at the 5 cent level.

If you play 5 cent 10play with 5 coins max, it costs you $5 per hand. A little expensive but you could get an amazing hand, such as a dealt four deuces. If you have a big bankroll, you can play at the 10 cent and 25 cent levels as well. There are places with 100-play $1 video poker where you can gamble $500 per hand. If you get four deuces dealt on the $1 machine, you win $100000. And four dealt deuces is a lot easier to get than a dealt royal flush. Good luck and have fun.
