How to Clean Glue Off a Cement Floor
Glue has been manufactured since the 1700s with the premise of making life easier. Back then, it was a necessity to build your own things. Today, glue is used to fix broken things or create crafts. As useful as glue is, it can create a huge mess when it gets into an unwanted location. Removing glue from a cement floor is a lot easier than one might think. Things You'll Need
- Dry ice
- Metal tray
- Scraper
- Spray lubricant (WD-40)
- Dish soap
- Stiff bristle brush
- Heat gun
- Acetone nail polish remover

Put a 1/4 to 1/2 lb. of dry ice on a metal tray. Set the tray on the glue and let it sit for about a minute. This will freeze the glue and allow you to scrape away easily with a scraper.

Spray the glue with a spray lubricant, such as WD-40, and allow it to sit for at least two minutes. Use a scraper or a stiff bristle brush to scrape away the glue now that it is more pliable.

Mix a solution of warm water and dish soap until it is sudsy. Apply the soapy water with a stiff bristle brush and let it soak for several minutes before continuing to brush the glue away.

Use a heat gun to heat up the glue and make it soft. Use a scraper to peel the glue off the concrete.

Saturate the glue with acetone-based nail polish remover. After it has been allowed to saturate for at least two minutes, it will scrape away easily with a scraper or stiff bristle brush.

Tips & Warnings
Wear gloves when handling dry ice. Make sure the area is ventilated well when using acetone.
