How to Customize Your Own Hoodie

Everyone wants a unique look or piece of clothing that shows her personality. The best way to have a unique hoodie is to design it yourself. All the materials you'll need to decorate your hoodie can be found in a craft store.

Things You'll Need

• Hoodie
• Fabric paint
• Iron-on transfer
• Cardboard

Instructions

1. Purchase a hoodie in any color and size that fits you. Lighter colors work better, but dark ones will work as well.

2. Decide what you want to show about your personality. Would you like to make a hoodie to represent your favorite band? Your favorite television show? Your name? Draw out an idea so you have a plan to work with.

3. Use fabric paint to write words across the front of the hoodie. If you would like wording on the back wait until the front is dry. Put a piece of cardboard in the shirt so it does not leak through the material.

4. Pick out your favorite picture of the subject you want to represent on your hoodie. Purchase iron-on transfer paper and print the picture on it. Follow the directions on the specific brand to iron the picture on the front or back of the hoodie. Remember that each brand of paper is different.

5. Add a design to your picture. Around the picture use fabric paint to enhance the theme. Draw solid shapes or a nice design--anything that shows your personality.
