Lay landscape cloth along the pathway. This will help ensure that the stones you put down do not sink into the ground and need replaced every year.

Now, place your larger landscapting stones along the edge of your path. This will form the barrier to hold the stones in. If you have any landscaping cloth sticking out, trim it down.

Place your flagstone in desired locations. This is the stone you will actually be walking on, so make sure they are placed appropriately.

Pour your pea gravel to fill in all the areas not covered by the flagstones. Level it out with a rake. You may need to use your hands to get a perfectly filled in and even look.

Line your walkway with solar lights along each side. Solar lights are energy efficient, easy to install and virtually no maintanence.
