Beautiful brooches can be made with beaded cloth. Denim and suede type fabrics are best, but you can use any fabric you have available.
You can make them in many designs and patterns.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • seed beads
  • fabric
  • embroidery hoop
  • beading thread and needles
  • Small piece of leather to fit back of pin.
  1. Step 1

Draw out your design on the fabric you have chosen. If you putting a cabochon or other jewel in the center , glue it on before you begin beading.
Place the fabric in an embroidery hoop, it will be much easier to work with.

  2. Step 2

Use the couching method to sew on your bead design. When the design is complete, remove it from the hoop.
carefully cut out your design, leaving about 1/8"-1/4" extra fabric on the outside edges.
Fold the raw edges of the fabric under and glue them to keep them in place.

  3. Step 3

Cut a piece of leather that is the same size as your finished work.
Cut 2 slits in the leather piece for the prongs of the pin back.
Apply a little glue to the cloth and to the pin back on both sides.
Press it all together , like a sandwich.
To finish the brooch, use an overcast or whip stitch to secure the edges of the leather to the edges of your bead work.
