Celebrate National Drive Safe Month

June is National Safe Driver Month. The easiest way to celebrate National Safe Driver Month is to learn more ways to be a safe driver. These are great tips for teenagers and older drivers alike.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Car
  • Driver's License
  1. Step 1

Do not talk on your cell phone while driving. If an urgent call has to be answered or made pull over to the side of the road or into a parking lot.

  2. Step 2

Make sure not to let passengers become distracting. Don't turn around in your seat while you are driving to see what the passengers in the back of the car are doing.

  3. Step 3

Avoid blaring the radio. This makes it harder to hear ambulances or other emergency vehicles that are on the road. Loud music also takes a driver's focus off of the road.

  4. Step 4

ALWAYS wear your seat belt. Yes, they do save lives!

  5. Step 5

Watch your speed. Speeding is a major reason for traffic tickets and traffic accidents.
