Have you ever want to snip out the information from a screen shot, but not the entire page? With the snipping tool in Windows Vista this can be really easy! This article will explain how to access and use the snipping tool provided in Windows Vista.

  1. Step 1

    ACCESSING THE SNIPPING TOOL!

    Start>All Programs>Accessories>Snipping Tool

    To access the snipping tool click on start. Next, click on all programs. Then, click on accessories. Finally, click on snipping tool.

    HOW TO USE THE SNIPPING TOOL!

    Once you have accessed the snipping tool it is ready to be used. To use the snipping tool you want to right click and highlight the area/content you want to snip.

    SAVING THE FILE!

    Once you selected and highlighted the area you wanted to snip it can be saved as a picture. Once the picture is saved it can be edited, printed, posted to ehow, or whatever you can imagine.

    USING SNIPS ON EHOW!

    If you want to point out and highlight something you snipped out try opening the saved image in paint. To do this, right click on the file and select open with paint. In paint you can use colors and circle or put a box around exactly what you want to point out. This is a great way to display steps and show exactly what you are talking about. Example - look how sharp the wall street bull's horn is!
