Serve up sweet mini-cheesecakes in the shape of a patriotic American flag this Fourth of July. With three different flavors in the design, guests will have a hard time choosing between stars and stripes!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • no-bake cheesecake kit (or recipe equivalent)
  • one can cherry pie filling
  • one can blueberry pie filling
  • one can whipped cream or tube of white icing
  • silver cupcake foil
  1. Step 1

Use an instant cheesecake mix with graham cracker crust or choose and mix up a similar recipe (including crust). You'll want several to make a large flag or feed a lot of guests, so consider using a large recipe or make a double batch.

  2. Step 2

Press the crust into the bottom of individual cupcake foils and bake until done. Let cool, then pour cheesecake mix over the crust and refrigerate until cold.

  3. Step 3

On a baking sheet or tray, arrange the cheesecake cupcakes in the shape of a flag (size will vary, depending upon the number of cupcakes available). Let each row represent a "stripe" and mark off a square section for the blue "field".

  4. Step 4

Spoon blueberry pie filling into the cheesecakes forming a "square" to create the field of blue. Spoon cherry pie filling into every other row of cheesecakes, forming the red "stripes" of the flag.

  5. Step 5

Add "stars" to the blueberry field by using a can of whipped cream or icing and pipette tool.

  6. Step 6

Decorate your tray or baking sheet if desired, then serve your patriotic flag to your guests.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use other types of filling if preferred, such as strawberry, rhubarb, or rasperry for the stripes.
  • Star-shaped cookies with white icing also look good nestled in each blue cupcake.
