   Look for something unique to say to each person to whom you will be sending your thanks. Thank Aunt Bess for bringing her pineapple upside down cake. Tell Grandpa Ed you appreciate the stories he entertained everyone with during the reception. The point is to make the recipient feel as though you took the time to write specifically to her and you didn't just send thank you card messages in a cookie cutter fashion to everyone on the list.

3. Mention the Gift Last in Your Thank You Card Messages
   Once you have included your basic greeting and mentioned something specific, be sure to thank the person to whom you are writing for the gift. Mention the gift by name. For example, thank you for the stationary set, thank you for the ink pen, etc.
