Check to see if the battery is installed correctly; the battery should be installed with negative terminal attached to the black ground wire, and the positive terminal attached to the red wire (the negative and positive terminals are identified by the "Neg", "-", or "N" labels, while the positive terminals are identified by the "Pos", "+", or "P" labels).

Check to see if fuel line or in-line fuel filter is plugged; if so, remove and clean fuel line, and replace fuel filter.
-
11
Check to see if there is spark in the spark plug. Disconnect the spark plug lead cap and connect the lead to a spark plug tester; test for sparks by turning the ignition key. If the tester doesn't light up, have the engine's magneto checked out by an unauthorized dealer.

Tips & Warnings
Do not turn the key in the "Start" position for more than ten seconds, as this will result in major damage to the engine. For warm weather, move the throttle to the fast position; for cold weather, allow the engine to run with the throttle in choke for a few minutes. Warm the engine up before moving the throttle to the "Fast" position.
