Sharpies are markers that contain permanent ink. They are used in many craft projects to color in pictures or make the pictures pop. They come in many different colors and shades. Craft stores offer rubber stamps of all shapes and sizes. These rubber stamps provide the outline for a picture that you can then color in with your Sharpies.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sharpies
  • Ink pad
  • Rubber stamps
  1. Step 1

Choose the rubber stamp you want to use. If it is Christmas time, you may want a stamp of a Christmas tree with some presents under it. For Easter, you could use a stamp of an Easter basket with eggs inside it.

  2. Step 2

Dip the stamp in an ink pad and press down hard so that the ink covers the stamp's bottom.

  3. Step 3

Lift the stamp up and place it down on your paper. Press hard one more time. You will now have a picture outline that needs to be colored in.

  4. Step 4

Use the Sharpie markers to color in the pictures. There is no right or wrong to this, as long as you stay in the lines.

  5. Step 5

Take one of the Sharpie markers and use it to color the bottom of the stamp pad. This is an alternative to using ink. Press the rubber stamp on to your paper to make a picture that is outlined in Sharpie marker.

Tips & Warnings
  • It's easy to stain fingers when working with permanent markers. Wait to pick your picture up until the picture has dried.
  • Sharpies have colored lids that are not always the same color as the ink inside the pen. Test the color out on a piece of scrap paper before you use it.
