Instructions

    • 1

Sand the face and edges of your letters so they are smooth. Wipe with tack cloth to remove any wood dust. Paint each letter with one to two coats of acrylic paint. Allow to dry thoroughly.

    • 2

Decide how you want your letter faces to look. Do you want alternating prints? Solid colors?

    • 3

Place the letter face down on the backside of the scrapbook paper, trace the letter and cut out. Another decorative option is to rip your prints into small bits like confetti, then use a combination of all of the paper on each letter.

    • 4

Coat the front of each letter with decoupage liquid and attach the scrapbook paper. If you are using a single cut-out, line up the edges. If you are using scraps, it is OK to overlap around the edge of the letter face. Snip off or lightly sand away any overhanging paper. Brush on another layer or two of the decoupage liquid to seal the paper.

    • 5

Glue on small decorative brads or nail heads to embellish your letter face. Finish with a light coat of acrylic lacquer spray finish.
