How to Remove Palm Software

Removing Palm software from your desktop, laptop or even software loaded on your Palm handheld device is a simple task that can be completed in a matter of minutes. If you've gotten rid of your Palm handheld or downloaded an application for the device that you no longer need, removing the software is quick and easy.

Instructions

    Removing a Program From the Palm Device

  1. Step 1

    Find the screen where the unwanted program is shown on your handheld. This may be the application launcher, games or the utility screen.

  2. Step 2

    Use the stylus to tap the "Menu" button. Select "Delete" from the menu.

  3. Step 3

    Choose the program you wish to delete by taping the program name from the delete screen.

  4. Step 4

    Confirm the deletion of the program by tapping the "Yes" button.

  5. Step 5

    Double-check that the program has been removed from your device by checking the screen after the process is complete.

  7. Step 1

    Click on your "Start" button and then on "Control Panel."

  8. Step 2

    Choose "Add or Remove Programs" from the Control Panel screen.

  9. Step 3

    Wait for the list to populate on the Add or Remove screen.

  10. Step 4

    Scroll down the list of installed programs until you see a text line identifying the Palm software. Single click on the Palm software link.

  11. Step 5

    Click on the "Remove" button. Confirm that you wish to remove the Palm software from your computer.

    Reboot your computer, if prompted. The Palm software is now removed.

Tips & Warnings
  • Any program installed in RAM on your handheld device can be removed. The operations software is store in the ROM area and cannot be removed. You can also remove Palm software from your computer by clicking "Start" and then "All Programs." Locate the Palm folder and choose "Uninstall" from the menu options given.
