How to Apply Makeup So That It Looks Natural
The key to applying makeup so that it looks natural is to use it sparingly and to avoid bright colors. The natural makeup look is meant to be a light, "no-makeup" look that improves on the natural beauty of the person without making her look vulgar or overly made up. Heavily lined eyes and red lips are to be completely avoided. Light, warm colors and bare lips will leave your makeup looking natural and inconspicuous. Does this Spark an idea?

1
First, cover up blemishes and dark under-eye circles with a light concealer. Use your fingers to apply a small amount of concealer onto pimples, discolorations and under-eye circles to mask these imperfections.
-
2
Apply a quarter-sized amount of tinted moisturizer all over your face and neck to even out skin tone. Make sure to blend the moisturizer down into your neck and toward your ears to eliminate any telltale signs of makeup. Tinted moisturizers are better to use than heavy foundations because they even out skin tone without making it look like you're wearing any makeup.

Apply a light bronzer onto the apples of your cheeks, forehead, nose and chin to brighten your face, and give your skin a sun-kissed look. Sweep just a touch of peach blush across your cheekbones for a hint of color. Peach will brighten up your face but still keep your makeup looking natural.

4
Sweep on eye shadow in a color that matches your skin tone, like light beige or brown, to even out the skin of your eyelids. Add a few coats of dark brown mascara to give your eyes some definition.
-

Finally, apply some lip balm to your lips to soften and smooth out dryness and cracks. Optional: Use a tinted lip balm to give your lips a hint of color.

Tips & Warnings
Try to use warm, earthy colors like taupe, beige, brown and gold to maintain a natural makeup look.
Avoid using bright-colored eye shadows and thick eyeliner; these are dramatic makeup products that will give you a highly made-up, unnatural look. Don't use pink blush, or use it very sparingly, to avoid an unnatural makeup look.
