1
Arrange the exercise equipment that you will be using. When figuring out how to decorate exercise rooms, move in all the larger pieces first and place them in a way that makes sense to how you work out. Leave as much open floor space in the middle of the room as possible for mat work, aerobics and other routines that you may incorporate into your schedule.

2
Put your smaller equipment in a bin. This could include any small weights, resistance bands and jump ropes. Either put this bin in a closet in the room or find a corner to tuck it away in. Another option with these items is to build or buy shelves with hooks. When figuring out how to decorate exercise rooms, any equipment that you can hang up and keep out of the way helps to keep the square footage intact.

Find a place for your TV and movie player if you utilize workout programs in your routine or just enjoy watching it when you are exercising. The best options for this are a smaller flat screen that you can mount in a corner of the room or a two-in-one small TV set that has the movie player already installed. Place it where you can see it from anywhere in the room.

Bring in a small cupboard and refrigerator to house water, fitness drinks and energy snacks. When figuring out how to decorate exercise rooms, having these things on hand means longer workouts as you will not have to leave to get them when taking a short break. If you do not have enough space, another option is to have an ice bucket that you can fill up and put your drinks in before starting and a basket filled with your favorite bars and other snacks.

5
Hang up some artwork. Whatever keeps you motivated, whether this be mirrors to see your progress or motivational posters that inspire you to reach your goals, needs a prominent position in the room. Wall hangings will ensure that the atmosphere doesn't become too sterile. The best part of figuring out how to decorate exercise rooms is adding the personal touches that make you want to keep entering that room again and again.
