Instructions

    • 1

Remove everything from under the sink. Turn off the water supply to the kitchen sink by closing the valves located under the kitchen sink at the back wall. If valves are not used, turn the water supply off at the meter.

    • 2

Locate the end of the water supply lines where they connect to the water pipes coming into the kitchen. Remove them with a wrench or a pair of pliers.

    • 3

Follow the supply lines up to the existing faucet and remove them with a wrench or a pair of pliers. Next, locate the nuts that hold the faucet to the sink and remove them.

    • 4

Facing the sink from the top, remove the old faucet. Clean the area where the faucet met the sink so the Aqua Source faucet will make contact with the sink when installed.

    • 5

Secure the Aqua Source faucet to the sink. Wrap the threads of the faucet and the pipes coming into the kitchen with the Teflon tape. Be certain to wrap the tape in the same direction needed for securing the water supply lines to the faucet. Connect the water supply lines according to manufacturer's instructions. Turn the water supply on and check for leaks.

Tips & Warnings

  • It is always good to have someone to turn the water on if the only shutoff valve is at the meter. Some water supply lines are equipped with rubber washers and do not need Teflon tape on the threads. If the Teflon tape becomes loose while securing the water supply lines, remove it and re-wrap the threads with a new piece of the tape.

  • Do not turn the water supply back on if the connections are not tight. Do not use a wrench on the water supply lines that isn't exactly the right size as this will cause the nut to lose its shape making it harder to secure.
