- Needles: 3 dpns

- Gauge: 7sts=1in

Step 1
Cuff:
With the blue yarn CO 40 sts
join into a round
k1,p1 until 1 in or desired length
next: knit all rnd -
Step 2
Leg:
Break off the blue yarn and join white yarn. Work in stockinette st until 6' inches
next: knit 24 sts and put on holder -
Step 3
Heel Flap:
Break off the white yarn and join the blue yarn. You're working the rem 24 sts
Row 1(RS): *sl, k1; rep from* to end
Row 2(WS): sl, purl to end
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until 24 rows. -
Step 4
Heel:
Blue yarn
row 1 (RS): k14,sl,k1,psso,k1,turn
row 2: sl,p5,2tog,p1,turn
row 3: sl,k6,sl,k1,psso,k1,turn
row 4: sl,p7,p2tog,p1,turn
row 5: sl,k8,sl,k1,psso,turn
row 6: sl,p9,p2tog,p1,turn
row 7: sl, k10,sl,k1,psso,turn
row 8: sl, p11, ptog,p1,turn
row 9: sl,k12,sl,k1,psso,turn
row10: sl,p12,p2tog,p1,turn
now you have 14 sts -
Step 5
Gusset:
Break the blue yarn join the white yarn.
RS facing you use an empty needle. Knit 7 sts(this is the began and end), take another empty needle knit across the remaining heel sts (other 7sts), using the same needle pick up 12 sts this is needle 1.
Use another empty needle and knit across the instep sts from the holder, this is needle 2.
Using the fourth needle pick up 12 sts on the left side of the heel flap, using the same needle knit across the 7 sts of the heel, this is needle 3. -
Step 6
Shape Gusset:
Rnd 1:
Needle 1: Knit to last 3 sts: k2tog, k1
Needle 2: k across
Needle 3: k1, sl,k1,psso, k to end
Rnd 2: knit
Repeat rnds 1 and 2 until you have 48 sts. -
Step 7
Foot:
white yarn
knit all rounds without decreasing until the foot measure 5-6 inches -
Step 8
Toe:
Break white yarn and join blue yarn
Rnd 1:
Needle 1: knit to last 3 sts: k2tog,k1
Needle 2: k1,ssk,knit to last 3 sts k2tog k1
Needle 3: k1,ssk, knit to end
Rnd 2: knit
Rep rnds 1 and 2 until you have 24 sts
Rep rnd 1 until you have 8sts
Use kitchener st or cut yarn leaving 8 inches tail thread tail through 8 sts and tighten
Knit the other sock!
