Step 1
With black yarn CO 33 sts. Join into a round.

Follow the stripe pattern
black: 10 rnds
red: 2 rnds
black: 5 rnds
red: 2 rnds
black: 6 rnds
red: 2 rnds -
Step 3
Thumb Gusset:
black yarn:
rnd 1; k2,m1,p1,m1, patt to end
rnd 2; (k3,p1) twice, patt to end
rnd 3; k2,m1,k1,p1,k1,m1, patt to end
rnd 4;(k4,p1) twice, patt to end
rnd 5: k2,m1,k2,p1,k2,m1, patt to end
rnd 6: (k6,p1) twice, patt to end
rnd 7: k2,m1,k3,p1,k3,m1, patt to end
rnd 8: (k6,p1) twicw, patt to end
rnd 9: k2, CO 5 (using backwards loop CO), put 9 sts on a holder, patt to end
rnd 10:(k4,p1)twice, patt to end
rnd 11: k1,sl1,k1,psso,k1,p1,k2tog, patt to end
rnd 12: k1,sl,k1,psso,p2tog patt to end -
Step 4
Keeping the K2, p1 sttich pattern follow the stripe pattern
red: 2 rnds
black: 7 rnds
red: 2 rnds
black: 4 rnds
BO all sts -
Step 5
Thumb:
With the black yarn
Needle 1: 4 sts
Needle 2: 5 sts
With the third dpn, pick up 4 sts across the top of the thumb opening.
Work until the thumb is desired length.
BO all sts, weave all ends to close any holes around the thumb.
Make the second glove.
