Step 1
Settign cages on roof where squirells runLocate and identify where the squirrels are entering into the home. Learn their routines i.e. where they run and go. Once you've figured this out set up some cages in areas where the squirrels frequent. Bait them with peanut butter and peanuts. Additionally make sure the cages are secured to the roof so they wont fall over.

Step 2
Squirrel caught in a cageContinue catching squirrels and replace the cages till you have caught them all. Than continue to keep cages there till there is no more activity. The last thing you want is to seal up a squirrel inside the home.

sealing up the hole in your house with hardware cloth and screwsOnce there are no more squirrels seal up the hole. Most holes can be sealed up properly using wire mesh or hardware cloth. Fasten the hardware cloth with a drill and screws, a staple gun wont cut it
