Children need their sleep.Make sure you keep your children on a bedtime schedule. Letting children stay up late leads to vulnerable infections. Toddlers and preschool children need about 12 hours with a nap, children who are school age need about 10 hours and preteens need 9 hours.

Yogurt is beneficial for children.Beneficial bacterial such as yogurt or kefir help prevent stomach aches, diarrhea, food allergies, eczema, and respiratory problems.

Zinc supplements.Make sure their diet has enough zinc. Children need between 5 - 8 mg of zinc from yogurt, peas, beef, or shrimp to prevent infection, diarrhea, and pneumonia.

Xylitol a natural healthy sweetner.Xylitol is a natural sweetener that is found in plums, raspberries, or in gums and powder form. This can help the risk of earaches by half. (See my other article about this.)
