How to Make Chocolate Belgian Waffles

Waffles are breakfasts breads made out of oil, eggs, and flour. Waffles are cooked in a waffle iron which is designed like a honeycomb or crisscross.. There are several types of waffles, the light and crispy which taste like apples, the cornmeal waffles that have a crispy texture, and the soft, light chocolate chip and buttermilk waffles. Belgian waffles are another popular kind especially the chocolate waffles.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • For Topping
  • 18 Ounces of chopped dark chocolate1 Cup of heavy cream
  • 12 Tablespoons of unsalted butter cut into cubes
  • 1/2 Cup of corn syrup (light)
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 4 Teaspoons of vanilla For the Waffles
  • 4 squares or 4 ounces of dark chocolate, chopped up
  • 4 squares or 4 ounces of unsweetened chocolate, chopped up
  • 4/6 cups of heavy cream
  • 4 pieces of large eggs (Large, at room temperature)
  • 6/8 cups plus 4 tablespoons of milk
  • 4 cups of cake flour
  • 1 cup plus 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 4 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  1. Step 1

    Make the topping. Mix all ingredients except for vanilla. Set ingredients over boiling water on low heat. Whip until soft and melted.

  2. Step 2

    : Remove the topping from the boiling water and add vanilla as if whisking Heat in microwave using a ceramic bowl for one minute under moderate power.

  3. Step 3

    Fold ingredients until smooth. Microwave another 20 minutes stirring until a silky top forms. Chill for a moment or so.

  4. Step 4

    For waffles, blend chocolate and heavy cream in a small, heat-resistant bowl. Set mixture over boiling water using low heat. Whip until nearly thawed.

  5. Step 5

    Take from high temperature and boiling water beating until soft. Cool the mixture stirring once in while until room temperature.

  6. Step 6

    Beat milk and egg yolks until thoroughly mixed in medium bowl. Set aside. In a medium bowl, sift the dry ingredients.

  7. Step 7

    Add the dry ingredients to the milk and egg mixture when the chocolate is room temperature. Fold until blended. Ignore lumps.

  8. Step 8

    Preheat waffle iron. Follow instructions.
