So your iPod Touch is frozen. Again. You could keep taking out the battery or running to the Apple Store to get help, or you can learn to unfreeze your iPod Touch by yourself in 3 easy steps. Please refer to my other articles on how to unfreeze an iPod Classic, Nano and shuffle if you have those models.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Your iPod Touch
  • If Necessary: A Computer and iTunes
  1. Step 1

To unfreeze an iPod Touch is extremely simple. Simply press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Hold button for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.

  2. Step 2

You may need to repeat Step 1. If this doesn't work, you may need to do a restore on your iPod Touch.

  3. Step 3

A restore is not something to be taken lightly, you will basically be starting over with factory settings. You need to first backup your music and pictures. Then connect your iPod Touch to iTunes and right click on your Touch's icon. Choose restore on the drop down menu. If none of these steps work for you, you have a bigger issue and should contact Apple.
