How to Teach Kids to Share

You might be surprised to hear my thoughts on teaching kids to share.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Everyone is big on having kids who are willing to share. This is a tough concept to teach.

  2. Step 2

Only ask your child to share certain toys. Do you like to share your special things with everyone who enters your house. What women invites other women to play in their jewelry box.

  3. Step 3

Talk with your child before others come to your home. Put his/her special things away in a special place. It is best if the place you put the toys is easily accessible to your child. For example put them in his/her room and let them check up on the toys if they are concerned about them while your company is visiting. Make sure other children and parents know this room is off limits.

  4. Step 4

After the company leaves thank your child for sharing other toys with friends and for being a big boy/girl about putting special toys away.
