      Soak in a strong MSM solution. People have had long term pain in feet disappear when nothing else worked after soaking in a strong solution of MSM. This is a powdery white supplement people often take internally. You can take 1000 to 2000 mgs internally as well and see if pain subsides within about a month and a half, but you can also focus the product directly onto your feet. Bulk MSM is usually sold at health food or supplement stores. In a tub suitable for a foot soak, mix two thirds cup of MSM into hot water and mix briskly until dissolved. When water is no longer too hot to submerge feet, soak them for 20 minutes.

      Get new flip-flops. If you regularly wear flip-flops, old ones are a common cause for pain in feet. The sole wears out quickly causing an incorrect gate that can cause pain in feet, especially the heels, as well as other body parts such as calf muscles and back!

      Help remove excess synovial fluid. Sometimes foot pain is believed to be caused by a build up of synovial fluid that won't drain properly. Arnica is believed to help synovial fluid dissipate, and the circular movement is believed to cause conditions that make it easier for the fluid to find its way out of the foot area. Arnica gel is sold in the body care departments of natural foods or regular grocery stores. It often comes in oil, lotion and gel, and many feel the gel works the best.

      Wear proper sneakers as often as possible. Pain in feet can sometimes be caused by the wrong shoes, no matter how stylish they are. The human was meant to walk barefoot, meaning sand, soil, leaves, prairie grass, etc. filled in our arch areas as we walked. To mimic and improve on nature's arch supports, wear sneakers that fit properly. Feet usually grow larger with age, so re-measure your foot size occasionally, get quality shoes with arch support that matches your particular foot shape, and if necessary, get insoles that further support your feet. High arches may need more cushioning, and lower arches need more rigid arch support.

      Have your stride corrected. If your old shoes show more wear on either the outside or inside edges, this could mean you need your stride corrected by a shoe specialist that knows which type of shoe will correct your particular problem. Take your old shoes to a quality athletic shoe store and try to find a knowledgeable person to recommend a type of shoe that will correct it.
