How to Make Money Using Your Blog

More and More people on jumping on the Blog train daily. If you are a serious blogger that gets traffic you can earn from your time spent posting. Here are a few companies that are looking for bloggers like you and me to advertise for them on our blogs.

• A Blog

1. Google offers a program called AdSense that allows you to run contextual text ads that will pay you when one of the text ads gets visited from traffic from your blog. If you choose this program it is important that you read all of the terms to ensure that you don't go against policy on your site. They can be strict about content on your site.

2. Another method is to join Commission Junction. This is a site that connects bloggers with advertisers that are looking for people to advertise their companies and products. Most of the advertisers will give you a banner that needs to be displayed on your site and you get a commission off of any sale that is made using the banner link.

3. Amazon has the Associate Program that allows bloggers to join and use banners and text links to drive traffic for them. You will receive a "referral fee" for any sales that are referred from your link.

4. Pay Per Post is a site that connects bloggers with advertisers that want your opinions about their products, services, or company. Once you join you will need to check their site frequently so that you can catch any new projects that interest you. Once your post gets approved then you will be eligible for payment.

Tips & Warnings

• For most of these you need to have a blog that is 3 months old and is starting to get traffic.
• If you use any of these methods you will need to be an active blogger (at least a few post a week) so that viewers will stay interested and new traffic will stop by.
• Don't think that you will make a ton using these programs. At the most you will earn a little extra income out of them.
