How to Import a vCard on a Mac

Many computer address book applications, including Apple Address Book and Microsoft Outlook, store contact information in a format of files called vCards. Computer users can save their contact data as a vCard file, then send it to another person to view. For Mac users, vCard files can be imported directly through the Address Book application.

      Open the Address Book application by clicking on its icon in the Dock.

      Open the "File" menu at the top of the screen and expand the "Import" options.

      Select "vCard" from the list of import options.

      Navigate to the location of the vCard file that you wish to import into your Address Book.
