Can't get enough of the gridiron? The National Football League sells a "Sunday Package," a satellite service that allows you to get every game each week.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Televisions

Step1
Determine whether you have an unobstructed area to install a satellite dish. The dish must face south and reach incoming signals with no interference.
Step2
Go to the DirecTV.com Web site and follow the instructions to purchase a satellite dish.
Step3
Purchase the satellite package from DirecTV or from a retailer such as Wal-Mart, Montgomery Ward's, Best Buy, Radio Shack or Circuit City. Prices vary for a noninstalled system with one television receiver and one satellite dish.
Step4
Purchase additional hookups for other television sets or for a multiset receiver.
Step5
Determine whether you need installation assistance. Self-installation kits are available at retail stores.
Step6
Install the satellite dish. Follow the self-installation kit's instructions if installing the dish independently.
Step7
Call DirecTV at the telephone number found in the satellite dish user's manual. DirecTV will turn on your dish in about 30 minutes.
Step8
Order the NFL Sunday Package. The only games that are not part of the Sunday Package are ESPN Sunday Night games, ABC's Monday Night Football, and the Saturday games played in December.

Tips & Warnings

  • The DirecTV package is designed to sell additional entertainment and sports programming. Make sure you know exactly what you purchase.
