Guitar Hero II is the second installment in the popular Guitar Hero series of video games. When Guitar Hero II was released for the Xbox 360, some gamers were confused as to how to plug the guitar controller into their gaming system. This confusion was caused by the fact that, much like controllers for the original Xbox, the Guitar Hero II controller had two cords.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Locate both components of the Guitar Hero II controller. The first is the actual Guitar Hero II guitar. The second is the smaller separate wire that comes with the guitar.

  2. Step 2

Connect the separate wire to the Guitar Hero II controller. To do this, you will need to connect the circular end of the wire attached to the Guitar Hero II guitar to the circular end of the separate USB connector wire mentioned in step 1. Once you have done this, there will be one long cord coming from the Guitar Hero II guitar.

  3. Step 3

Plug the rectangular end of the Guitar Hero II controller into the Player 1 port on the Xbox 360. Once you have done this, you can insert Guitar Hero II into the Xbox 360, turn the system on and begin playing.
