How to Build a Ringtone Website
All cell phones come with a small selection of ring tones, which are sounds for your phone that play when you get a call or text message. Sometimes the standard package of tones is not good enough, and you want some of your own to use but do not want to waste the time to search through too many websites. Now you can create your own website to host your favorite ring tones, plus share it with others.
Instructions

1
Collect any free ring tones of relative interest. You can start by going to Phonezoo.com and downloading any ring tone that suits your needs. Ask permission from the creator to host the ring tone, if required, to avoid any copyright issues.
-
2
Upload your free ring tones to a free website uploading service. Two leading services are Megaupload.com and Rapidshare.com, which offer both free and subscription-based services. If you use them for free, you are limited to how much you can upload, but getting a subscription will lift the limit. When you are finished uploading each item, you will be provided with a link.
-
-
3
Get a free website to host the links to your ring tones. Blogspot.com is a source for creating a free web page with no strings or hassles. However, be aware that using the free service will generate ads on your web space.
-
4
Apply at Proboards.com and create a free message board. A message board will help you stay connected to the community of ring tone enthusiasts who will become potential contributors of future ring tones for your website.
-
5
Add all the download links of your ring tones and the message board to your website. Give each ring tone a short description so visitors will know what to download.

Tips & Warnings
Although Phonezoo.com provides all free ring tones, keep in mind that other websites may offer ring tones that are under copyright. Do not upload any copyrighted material without first asking permission from the creator, and any relevant conditions such as a small fee. Ring tones that you make yourself from copyrighted music should not be uploaded and shared with others. The record labels that own and distribute the music would consider it copyright infringement.
