Draw a Bunny with a Bended Ear

Bunnies are undeniably cute. So much so, in fact, that they have their own calendars, stuffed animals and have been immortalized in fiction and children's books. Drawing a bunny with a bent ear can give your rabbit illustrations a bit more character and help to explore another pose for drawing rabbit. Like any illustration, you must break down the picture into simple geometric shapes and build up layers of detail. By using this technique, you will be able to pull off complicated drawings, no matter what your illustration experience level is.

  1. How to Draw a Bunny with a Bended Ear

    • 1

Draw the head of the rabbit with an oval shape that comes to a slight point on the left side. Attach larger oval shape for the body of the rabbit. This should be placed down and to the right of the head so that the head is slightly overlapping and going out of the top left of the body.

    • 2

Draw the left side ear with a triangular shape coming out of the top of the head and pointing diagonally to the left. Add the right side ear with 2 vertical lines coming out of the top of the head. Add a diagonal rectangle attached to the top of the 2 vertical lines to create the bend in the rabbit's ear.

    • 3

Add the left side front leg with a sideways "L" shape. Add the right side front leg with a rectangle coming down from the body. Add the back right side leg with a reverse "L" shape. Create the tail with a square shape coming off the bottom right side of the body. Draw the eye with a small circle in the upper left section of the head. Add the nose with a small diagonal dash at the bottom left side of the head. Create whiskers with diagonal lines coming off the bottom left of the head under the nose.

    • 4

Erase any overlapping guidelines. Ink the entire illustration of the rabbit with the bent ear using a black ink pen. Let the ink dry and carefully erase the pencil strokes.
