How to Remove a SIM Card From a Palm Centro

The Palm Centro smart phone offers many user-friendly features. Like other GSM (Global System for Mobile) phones, it contains a SIM card that stores data for the phone's user. The SIM card contains such information as the user's identity, phone number, security data, text messages, network authorization and contact lists. It can be removed and transferred from one GSM phone to another, allowing the user to move both data and call minutes. Just follow these simple steps to access and remove the SIM card from your Centro.

Instructions

    • 1

      Turn the phone face down.

    • 2

Note the removable panel below the camera lens. Push down on the panel and slide it off.

    • 3

With your fingernail or a pair of tweezers, pop up the battery and remove it. You will see the SIM card in the corner.

    • 4

Remove the stylus (the little pencil-like instrument) from the phone, as it is blocking the SIM card.

    • 5

With your fingernail or a pair of tweezers, pop up the SIM card and gently pull it out. That's it, your SIM card is removed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Note, SIM cards are made for GSM phones exclusively, so you can't move your SIM card (or your SIM card data) to a non-GSM phone.
