How to Install a Reverse Osmosis Filter Under a Sink
Adding a reverse osmosis filtration system to your home is simple and can be completed in about an hour. Reverse Osmosis removes impurities by passing water through a series of filters layered on top of each other. Water that is purified by reverse osmosis is 99% pure assuming that the filter is working at its optimal level. Install the System

Connect the 2 inch hole saw to the drill and drill a hole in your sink next to where your regular faucet is located. This hole is where the filtered water spout will be located.

Put the spout in the hole and secure the ring to hold the spout in place.

Find a location under the sink for the tank and the filtration system.

Secure these two items in place using the supplied brackets and screws.

Turn off the water by turning the knobs located under the sink.

Hook up the water line splitter to the main line. Connect one end to the existing faucet and the other to the input on the filtration system.

Attach a line from the Output on the filtration system to the tank.

Attach a line to the spout and another to the drain. This will serve as an overflow for the system.

Plug the system into the electrical outlet located under the sink.

Turn the water back on and allow the tank to fill up.

Reverse osmosis systems can even be incorporated into water lines that feed refrigerators with built in ice makers.

Look out! I've installed thousands of these systems and typically drill only a 1"-1.25" hole in the sink to mount the faucet through. Your faucet base probably isn't big enough to cover a 2" hole! Check it before you drill. Also is is usually easier to mount the system last so that it isn't in the way while you hook up the faucet, system inlet and the drain.
