Dispose Negative Chatter

Negative chatter can be debilitating to the psyche and those who you are responsible if you are affected by it. Here are a few simple ways to let negative chatter go.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • desire for positive thinking and energy
  1. Step 1

Stop negative chatter by simply saying the word stop. Do it as loud as you may feel the need. Next time you here your mind saying you can't say out loud, stop. The word no can help but saying stop is more effective.

  2. Step 2

If the chatter is coming from someone who you can not correctly get away from and it is directed towards you, sometimes simply telling them to stop will not do even if they do. Keep a notebook near and write down as they speak words that negate whatever it is that they are talking about. If they say you can not do a thing, write in the book how you can and why. Also consider telling them off if you need to in the notebook in another section. The reason being is it to can be considered negative chatter since it is disposing anger. Think of it as comical when doing so. Get the last laugh.

  3. Step 3

Negative chatter is energy. Get rid of the energy by doing something else immediately. Try shaking your body vigorously and making a loud continuous groaning sound that vibrates from soft to very loud to the point of feeling the ill feeling release. Scream if you are in private. Exercise will help, but you have to negate the speech. This is where making sounds help.

  4. Step 4

Cancel the vibe by canceling the thought. Before the thought is completed or even when or if you say something negative in relationship to progressing, say either cancel, let me cancel that or cancel that and mean it! This works wonders when saying anything that doesn't benefit positive energy or thought.
